Zagórski Jerzy

Zagórski, Jerzy (December 13, 1907, Kyiv – 1984, Krakow), Polish poet and translator.

A lawyer by education, he was also engaged in journalistic and theatrical activities. In an anthology of Georgian poetry printed in 1961, he published a translation of excerpts from The Knight in the Panther's Skin. He published a complete translation of the poem in Krakow in 1976.

In the 1985 anthology of Georgian poetry, Zagórski’s translation of The Knight in the Panther's Skin was included again, along with his translations of poems by I. Abashidze, S. Chikovani, G. Shatberashvili, I. Noneshvili, O. Shalamberidze, and others.
