Kamensky Vasily

Vasily Vasilyevich Kamensky [April 5 (17), 1884, near Perm – November 11, 1961, Moscow] a Russian poet. He began publishing his works in 1904. In 1914, alongside the "Cubo-Futurist" group (including V. Mayakovsky and D. Burliuk), he traveled to Georgia. His early poetry is Futurist in character. Kamensky's primary works include the epic poems Stenka Razin (1912–1920), Yemelyan Pugachev (1931), and Ivan Bolotnikov (1934). The thematic landscape of Georgia is explored in several of Kamensky's poems, such as Tbilisi, The Train Hurries Us Along, I Cannot Live Without Tbilisi, Acharistani, and Letter to Sorrento, among others.
